The mansion’s last owner, Spiros Salvanos (1937–2020), was a visionary businessman, yacht captain, pilot, historian, and environmental activist. Dedicated to preserving his family’s legacy, he worked tirelessly to restore the manor and revive Old Perithia village as a national and natural heritage monument.

Mrs. Sofia Ilias, a long-time resident of Corfu, has lived on the island for over 30 years. Her deep connection to the area comes from years of archived research and a passion for preserving the local heritage. She is the author of a well-regarded book on the history of Old Peritheia, offering insights into the village’s fascinating past. Today, Sofia also runs a successful yacht brokerage company, blending her love for Corfu’s coastal life with her business expertise. 

Their daughter, Andriana Salvanou, is studying French Literature, adding a modern and international perspective to the family’s legacy. Beeing the youngest person in the family, she is a beacon of fresh ideas and creativity to the business.
